Message to Membership- Updated Food Survey Methodology
We wanted to notify you that both ODH and ODA have completed the final steps in approving the updated Food Survey Methodology rules, marking the culmination of years of dedicated work to provide local health departments with a fair and objective framework for evaluating food safety programs. The updated survey process now includes an open-code test for each individual working within the food program. The test consists of a maximum of 50 questions, with a time limit of 120 minutes for completion. To be deemed approved, at least 50% of the environmental health specialists in a given health department must achieve a score of 80% or higher. These rules will take effect on January 1, 2025.
