2025 Northwest District Director:

Greetings, fellow environmental health professionals!

It is an honor to serve you as the 2025-2026 Northwest District Director for the Ohio
Environmental Health Association (OHEA). My name is Van Creasap, and I’m thrilled to
introduce myself to all of you.

I hail from Waldo, Ohio, where I not only work in public health, but also own and operate a small
vineyard winery that my grandfather began operating commercially in 1984. It’s a family
business that I’m incredibly proud of, and it’s one of the many ways I stay connected to my
roots.

I first began my journey in public health as an intern collecting mosquitoes, and I quickly fell in
love with the field while watching my talented coworkers practice their craft. The impact that
environmental health professionals have on communities is inspiring, and I knew right away that
this was the career for me.

As your new district director, I’m committed to supporting and advocating for all of you. I’m
excited to collaborate with such a passionate and dedicated group of professionals. Let’s
continue to work together to make our communities safer, healthier, and more sustainable.
