George Eagle Memorial Scholarships Available

The Ohio Environmental Health Association (OEHA) provides qualified students the opportunity to apply for The George Eagle Memorial Scholarship. This Scholarship consists of a $2000 cash award granted to one undergraduate, and one graduate, student annually.

Eligibility Requirements:

Undergraduate:

• Ohio Resident.
• Enrolled as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior, in a program leading to a Baccalaureate degree in Environmental Health or a related field.
• Express intent to become employed in environmental health in Ohio following graduation.

Graduate:

•  An OEHA member in good standing for two consecutive years prior to applying for scholarship.
• Registered Sanitarian or Sanitarian in Training in the State of Ohio.
• Enrolled in an Environmental Health or Public Health graduate degree program or another graduate degree program approved by the Scholarship Committee which will contribute to the applicant’s development as an environmental health professional.
• The College or University must be an accredited school of higher learning.
• A personal interview may be required, as determined by the Scholarship Committee.

Due to COVID-19 This year’s deadline for applications is March 12, 2021.
