In my term as President, I hope to increase membership and to improve our visibility through out the State. November 21, 2013: Applications are now being accepted for the 2014 George Eagle Memorial Scholarships. Each year, OEHA awards $2,000 scholarships to one undergraduate and one graduate student pursuing a degree in environmental health or a related field. December 27, 2012: The first draft of Ohio's new sewage treatment system rules has been released for public comment. Comments will be accepted through February 8, 2013.
February 6, 2012: OEHA is pleased to provide its members with the finalized report on The Environmental Health Profession: A Continuing Dialogue. This report compiles the thoughts that were put together by attendees at the 2011 AEC.
November 7, 2011: Recently, OEHA was invited to attend a meeting in regards to the food safety program in this State. This meeting brought stakeholders from numerous angles including AOHC, Ohio Grocer’s Association, Ohio Restaurant Association, Governor Kasich’s Office and both State agencies that oversee the programs (ODH, ODA). While it was framed as a meeting to discuss the duplication of the surveys performed by both State agencies, the implications of this meeting ultimately was whether or not the program would be best served by being housed at one agency.
