Director of Operations and Member Services

Association of Ohio Health Comissioners

The Association of Ohio Health Commissioners is seeking a Director of Operations and Member Services. The Director will be responsible for overseeing the Association’s day-to-day operations while also driving member engagement and satisfaction. The Director serves as the primary point of contact for supporting members’ management of their local health departments. The Director promotes the mission of AOHC and supports the effective implementation of Board-adopted policies. This full-time position is under the general supervision of the Executive Director.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:

Operations

Responsible for administrative functions, including financial, human resources, facilities management, and information technology. Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations within AOHC. Identifies and addresses operational challenges. 

 

Member Services

Responsible for the Association’s programs and initiatives to ensure efficient and effective delivery of high-quality services to members. Identifies needs and establishes resources to support effective delivery of services at the local level. Develops and implements strategies to increase member engagement, participation, and satisfaction. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

This role requires relevant experience in operations, financial, and project management and supervising staff; strong interpersonal and communication skills; and an ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management and/or member services, preferably in a nonprofit organization. 

 

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Location and Travel:

Based in Ohio, the position has some opportunity for telecommuting with travel within the state and occasional national travel required.

 

Salary and Benefits:

Salary commensurate with experience, plus benefits package.
