The NEHA/AAS Scholarship application period is now open for 2021. The scholarship supports environmental health students to save on their debt and ultimately empowers them to join the EH workforce following graduation. By offering the NEHA/AAS Scholarships to devoted undergraduate and graduate students, NEHA and AAS hope to positively contribute to the future of environmental health.
In 2020 we awarded three students through the NEHA/AAS Scholarship, Summer, Amanda, and Connor. Summer has a mastery of key concepts of environmental health such as population dynamics, sustainability, and risk assessment that will equip her to be able to contribute significantly to our profession. Amanda feels that as a Sanitarian she can help people better understand public health and their local communities. She is said to be self-motivated, self-directed, and independent with a wealth of integrity. Connor has been described as one who excels at integrating her strong academic background and experience with her intellectual curiosity and motivation to accomplish her objective of pursuing a career in environmental health. These award recipients have excelled in their studies and expressed great commitment to pursuing careers in the environmental health profession following their graduation.
