Bureau of Environmental Health and Radiation Protection

Date:              August 27, 2019

The Am. Sub. House Bill 49 of the 132nd General Assembly (Budget Bill) was signed into law on June 29, 2017.  As part of that legislation, the Board of Sanitarian Registration was abolished and administrative functions related to the registration of sanitarians in Ohio was moved to the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). This change became effective on September 29, 2017.

As a result of this legislative mandate, sanitarian registration rules will now be contained within chapter 3701-76 of the Ohio Administrative Code.

Please review these draft rules and provide any comments you may have by the close of business on September 16, 2019 to the address listed below. In order to avoid delay, please specify “SAN Advisory Rule Informal Comment” in the subject line of all comments sent via regular mail or e-mail.  ODH will review and consider the comments received before the rule is submitted for formal rule proposal and adoption proceedings.  Thank you.
